Shaun Doyle - joined The Rehearsal Hall staff!
Corinne Lopez- danced beautifully the part of "Cinderella" in Ballet South's annual production. (Shaun Doyle director)
Ashley Dawson- (Shannon's Sr. Jazz Co.) received two gold medals and a first place trophy in Jazz at Starpower National Talent Competition. Ashley was also invited to participate in Starpowers first ever Power Pack Tour which is a dance team that will tour for 21 days in Orlando, FLA., Dallas, TX., and Las Vegas performing at the World Championships!! Way to go Ashley!!! Ashley is also Jr. Miss Talentzone 1998 and Jr. Miss VFW 1998 - WOW!!
Alisha Dixon- (Shannon's Jr. Jazz Co.) received a gold medal at Starpower National Talent Competition for her Jazz dance to "Barbie Girl". Alisha also received a gold medal first place trophy in the Vocal Category for her rendition of "I Just Want to be a Star" from NUNSENSE. Alisha was also selected as Little Miss Talent Winner 1998 in this years Miss Talentzone Pageant.
Korianne Knoll- received a gold medal first place trophy in the Vocal category at Starpower National Talent Competition for her performance of "This is the Moment" from Jekyl & Hyde.
Corinne Erb- received a gold medal first place trophy in the Vocal category at Starpower National Talent Competition for her performance of "Zing Went the Strings of My Heart".
Nerissa Erb- received a high silver medal at Starpower National Talent Competition singing "Bushel and a Peck" from GUYS AND DOLLS.
Kristin Bohr- played the part of "Carrie" in OUR GANG'S production of CAROUSEL at Surf Light Theatre. Kristin will also be a paid apprentice at Surf Light's Summer Stock Theatre! Congratulations Kristin! Kristin also helped to teach the Titanic Ballet to younger dancers this year.
Amy Brunner- (Sr. member of all Rehearsal Hall's Dance Co.'s) was a student teacher for Verna this year in all Verna's tap classes. Thanks Amy!
THE NEW JERSEY STARLETS, Shannon's Jr. Jazz Co. and AnneMarie's Teen Experienced Dancers competed at Headliners National Competition with the Tropical Number in March and received a bronze trophy. Also Shannon's Sr. Jazz Co. scored a silver trophy with "The Great Gatsby" & Shannon's Jr. Jazz Co. scored a bronze trophy with "The Cat in the Hat" (or "Cat's WITHOUT Hat's" as we laughingly refer to it now!)

also at HEADLINERS:
Candice Granberg- starring as "Meg" in the HERCULES number scored a high silver trophy with vocalists from THE ZONE, Taylor Drahos, Lisa Carlson, Corinne Erb and Alisha Dixon. The Muses and Meg's costumes were constructed by Lynn Erb - wigs and all- THANKS Lynn!!!
Taylor Drahos- received a high silver trophy at Headliners National Talent Competition for her rendition of "City Lights". Taylor also holds the title of Little Miss Talentzone 1998 and gave up her title of Little Miss VFW 1997 this year.
Lisa Carlson- received a first place trophy and special judges award in the Vocal category for her rendition of "Part of Your World" from LITTLE MERMAID. Lisa was also 1st runner up in the Jr. Miss Talentzone 1998 pageant.
Students from The Rehearsal Hall and THE ZONE performed at the Manahawkin Convalescent Center for a special Christmas show.
NEW JERSEY STARLETS- Performed in Toms River for The Elks Club in September.

1997 at The Rehearsal Hall

NEW JERSEY STARLETS- Performed in Toms River for The Elks Club Charity Ball. They will be performing again this September.
THE DELBERT ANDERSON DANCERS- performed at Absegami High School for the Miss Galloway Township Beauty Pageant in November.
THE NUTCRACKER- The following students have performed in "The Nutcracker" with The Atlantic Contemporary Ballet Theatre at Ocean County and Stockton Colleges: Amy Brunner, Kristin Bohr, Alicia Gomes, Corinne Lopez and Courtney Maxwell.
CHRISTMAS TIME- we performed with some of our students at the Manahawkin Convalescent Center.
THE EASTERN YOUTH BALLET CO.- performed in The Forum Follies Benefit at Lacey High School and also performed at The Day Long Dance Festival held at Rider University.
SENIOR JAZZ CO.
- SILVER MEDAL
ALICIA GOMES- will be attending the New Jersey Governor School this summer on a full scholarship.
KORIANNE KNOLL- will be performing in "Annie Warbucks" at the Surflight Theatre in Beach Haven in July.
SEVERAL OF OUR STUDENTS- have performed at the Surflight Theatre in Beach Haven with "Our Gang" and are accomplished vocalists training at THE ZONE in Waretown, NJ.
MANY OF OUR SERIOUS DANCERS are high achievers academically, and many are on the high honor roll in school. We have quite a few students who have gone on with their dance training in various colleges and have been accepted into dance companies. We are very lucky. A lot of our former students find that they miss their dance class with us and find a way to fit it into their schedules. Our New Jersey Starlet line presently has four college students and an occasional 5th. Our school, no matter what it has been called, from "The Dorothy Pharo School of Dance", "Dance By Verna", and now "The Rehearsal Hall, Inc." , has had the opportunity to be able to enjoy watching their students grow from a pre-schooler to a parent and we appreciate the honor we have been given.
