•  Johnny has written 40 registered songs, 33 of which are on demos. His latest features 3 songs with a truly commercial flair, touchung on issues such as healthy marriages, clean living, and accepting Christ. He has aquired a large fan club following from Washington State, to Canada, to the Netherlands.

• Johnny possesses a passion for songwriting on inspirational topics that are relevant to all, regardless of race, creed, religion, or age. His music has a rich folk style, with overtons of country, R&B, soul, and contemporary. He has an instinctive sense of meter that first manifested itself through drum beat rhythms, then through guitar chords, and finally through expressive keyboard melodies.

• The son of a NYC tug boat captain, Johnny Spreen and his three sisters grew up with strong intercultural relationships consistent with their urban environment. It was not until the family moved to the New Jersey Pine Barrens that the song writer emerged, inspired bt the perfection of Nature as God's Creation. The example of Jesus Christ, and strong ties to family and friends, play a central role in the life of Johnny Spreen. These ties are not only evidenced in the songs themselves, but also in the use of his sister, who does a very capable job on backup vocals.
